Tahoe Paddle Sports ("Tahoe Paddle Sports," "we," "us," or "our") operates tahoepaddle-sports.com (the "Site") and provides guided clear-kayak tours departing from Sand Harbor State Park. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and any message or tour details you submit through our contact links, or that you provide directly to our booking partner, FareHarbor, when you reserve or pay for a tour.

Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar usage data, collected through standard web server logs and analytics tools.

Information from third parties: if you book a tour, our scheduling and payment partner FareHarbor collects and processes your reservation and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive booking details (name, contact information, tour date/time, and party size) from FareHarbor to fulfill your reservation.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To schedule, confirm, and fulfill your kayak tour reservation.
• To respond to questions, special requests, and customer service inquiries.
• To send you tour-related communications (confirmations, weather/safety updates, reminders).
• Where you've given consent, to send you promotional messages by email, call, or text (see Section 3).
• To maintain the security of the Site and improve our services.

3. Text Message & Phone Communications (TCPA)

If you provide your phone number and affirmatively opt in, Tahoe Paddle Sports (or a service provider acting on our behalf) may contact you by phone call or SMS/text message about your reservation, tour updates, or promotional offers.

• Basis for contact: we only call or text the number you provide after you give express written consent (for example, by checking a consent box on a form). Consent to receive marketing calls/texts is never required as a condition of purchasing any tour or service.
• Message frequency varies based on your bookings and interactions with us.
• Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-out: reply STOP to any text message at any time to stop receiving text messages from us, or reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact us directly using the information in Section 8 to be removed from any calling or texting list.
• Carrier liability: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• We retain records of consent (including the date, time, and method of opt-in) for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
• Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, and may use analytics or advertising tools (for example, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel), to understand how visitors use the Site and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us operate the Site and our business (booking/payment processing through FareHarbor, email/SMS delivery, hosting, and analytics), under obligations to protect your information;
• When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our guests, staff, or the public (for example, coordinating with Nevada State Parks or emergency services regarding lake or tour safety);
• In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or sale), subject to the same protections described here.

6. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights (Nevada)

Tahoe Paddle Sports operates out of Incline Village, Nevada. Under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A, Nevada residents have the right to opt out of any future sale of "covered information" (such as your name, address, email, or phone number) that we might make to a third party for that party to license or sell to additional persons.

We do not currently sell covered information as defined under NRS 603A. If that ever changes, or if you would like to submit a verified request to opt out of any such sale, contact us using the information in Section 8. We will respond to verified requests within the time required by Nevada law.

If you are a resident of a state with its own comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing.
